Volunteer Information
WHO ARE WE? The Cochrane Valley Folk Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing great music to the Cochrane valley, and it's run entirely by volunteers. Simply put, volunteers are the backbone of the club, the glue that holds it together, the grease in the wheel, the apples in the pie, the...... well you get it.
At the present time we are operating with a two tier system of volunteering. Our core group is made up of our most seasoned and committed volunteers. Most of them have a steady position within the club. If our regulars are not able to work on a concert night, their job is then posted to the rest of our volunteers who have the opportunity to fill each position on a first come first served basis. The best way to work yourself into the core group is to volunteer where you are needed and volunteer often. Most concerts will have opportunities in the area of tear down and clean up. Actually, that is a pretty good gig. You are free to watch the entire concert, have a beverage and a snack on us and start work at the end of the concert.
